At Last €? Apple Music Now Supports Chromecast Free

I'm suddenly getting an error message when I attempt to cast apple Music from my android to my Google chromecast. Never happened before today. Says not supported on device. Do you know why this is happening? Big bummer while at home trying to enjoy music during quarantine.

I had exact same issue - - for 3ish days, after an apple music update, casting Apple Music to Google Home devices suddenly stopped working ("Device not supported" despite previously working, flickering screen, etc.).

Although the Chromecast Audio supports many music services and applications like Spotify, Google Play Music, Deezer, Pandora, iHeartRadio, etc., Apple Music is not on the list. And Apple Music prevents you from playing Apple Music on the non-Apple devices and applications.

Chromecast Audio natively supports MP3, AAC and WAV audio containers encoded in HE-AAC, LC-AAC, MP3, Vorbis, WAV (LPCM), FLAC and Opus audio codec. Chromecast Audio covers the mainstream audio formats and basically it's enough for daily music playback. Songs or albums purchased from iTunes Store are 256kbps plain AAC audio (*.m4a files) which can be also cast to Chromecast audio.
